Congressman Dan Goldman to Succeed Congresswoman Kathy Manning as Co-Chair of House Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism

November 19, 2024
Washington, DC – Congressman Dan Goldman (NY-10) today was announced as the new Co-chair of the House Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism. Goldman takes over from Congresswoman Kathy Manning (NC-06) in the 119th Congress, following her retirement from the House of Representatives.

Congressman Dan Goldman will join Reps. Chris Smith (R-NJ), Marc Veasey (D-TX), Randy Weber (R-TX), Ted Lieu (D-CA), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Grace Meng (D-NY) as Co-chairs of the Task Force in the House.

“I am honored to be appointed Co-chair of the House Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism – a vital Congressional institution in the fight to stop antisemitism,” Congressman Dan Goldman said. “I will do my best to emulate Congresswoman Kathy Manning’s leadership and tireless advocacy on this issue, especially in the face of rising antisemitism following the October 7 terror attacks. We must never waver in our resolve to stamp out hate in all its forms and build a better nation for all of us.”

Congresswoman Kathy Manning said, “It has been an honor to work with Congressman Chris Smith and the rest of my Task Force colleagues to address the alarming rise in antisemitism at home and around the world. As I depart Congress, I’m proud to leave the Task Force under the trusted leadership of Congressman Dan Goldman. He has proven to be a strong voice in the fight against antisemitism, and I am confident he will continue to build on the important progress we have made to protect the Jewish community from rising hate."

First established in the 1990s as the Congressional Task Force Against Anti-Semitism and relaunched in the 114th Congress, the House Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism ensures that Congress plays a leading role in the fight against antisemitism and protecting the Jewish community against rising threats.

The Task Force serves as a bipartisan forum to inform and educate Members of Congress and staff, and, in collaboration with colleagues in the Senate, to engage with the Administration, foreign leaders, and civil society on efforts to combat antisemitism, promote education and Holocaust remembrance, and eliminate antisemitic hatred and bias.
