Congressman Dan Goldman Joins Congressional Labor Caucus
Caucus to Expand Worker Protections, Strengthen Labor Movement
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dan Goldman (NY-10) today announced that he has joined the Congressional Labor Caucus where he joins his colleagues in the effort to expand worker protections and pass legislation to strengthen the labor movement. The caucus aims to fight for legislation that recognizes the importance labor has in building the American economy and expands worker protections across the country.
“Two things will always be true: organized labor built the American middle class and New York City is a union town,” Congressman Dan Goldman said. “American workers built this country and are the backbone of our economy, and as a member of the Congressional Labor Caucus, I’m committed to expanding workers’ collective bargaining rights, making it easier for employees to form a union, and pushing back on corporations that stand in the way of workers fighting for their fair share.”
The Congressional Labor Caucus was founded in 2020 by Congressmembers Mark Pocan (WI-02) and Donald Norcross (NJ-01) to advance the needs of the labor movement, combat the issues facing working families, and connect legislators directly with unions and union leaders.
In February, the Caucus introduced the Richard L. Trumka Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act to ensure all workers have the right to organize and collectively raise their voices for dignity and respect. Congressman Goldman is a proud cosponsor of the PRO Act.
