Civil Rights, LGBTQIA+ Rights, and Combating Hate
The United States must continue in the footsteps of America's great civil rights heroes to create a more just and equal society that does not discriminate. Congressman Goldman is pushing to make sure that everyone can live the American Dream, regardless of their background and free from hate.
Congressman Goldman has introduced:
Showing Up for Students Act to provide $280 million in additional funding for the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the U.S. Department of Education, doubling its funding from fiscal year 2023. The Office for Civil Rights is responsible for protecting the civil rights of students in American schools, including from incidents related to antisemitism and other shared ancestry and religious discrimination.
Goldman is a member of the Equality Caucus and the Bipartisan Task Force on Addressing Antisemitism.
