Washington D.C – Congressman Dan Goldman lit up House Republicans today for holding a committee hearing on the cybersecurity workforce while President Trump and his unelected billionaire patron Elon Musk systematically slash the federal government’s effectiveness and actively endanger America’s cybersecurity, personal information, and national security.
Goldman also highlighted Republican’s hypocrisy for discussing American cybersecurity as they support Trump’s inexperienced and partisan nominee for FBI Director, Kash Patel, whose appointment would jeopardize America’s counterintelligence efforts.

“The president and his unelected billionaire master are gutting every single executive branch agency. What's the point of having a pipeline with education if you're taking away all of the jobs, if you're sending unvetted, teenagers with no security clearance into our various executive branch agencies, allowing them to hack and slash into the government payment systems, the government portals, the government databases without any regard to cyber security, putting them on private servers? And quite obviously to anyone whether you're an expert on cyber security or not, you understand how that jeopardizes the security of every single American's personal identification information.”

And what else doesn't belong in this Congress is this stupid hearing where we're talking about educating a workforce, where there's no demand for that workforce anymore, because Elon Musk is destroying that workforce.”
