“Facing bipartisan opposition, and a unified Democratic caucus, Republicans have rammed through a Rules Package that is the most draconian and extreme the House has seen — and just the latest front in their war on our democracy and American workers.

“This package includes a rule that would gut the Office of Congressional Ethics, a body responsible for fulfilling the House of Representatives’ obligation to hold itself accountable to the ethical standards this body demands. And of course, they are doing this just in time to protect their favorite fraud, George Santos.

“By attempting to ban House staff from unionizing, this Rules Package is a renewed GOP assault on American workers, and only further proves that the GOP doesn’t stand with or respect their staff or hard-working Americans.

“Unions are the backbone of our nation, and I can promise that I will always stand for the right of my staff and all American workers to organize for fair treatment in the workplace.”
