Congressman Dan Goldman Condemns Trump’s Anti-Trans Passport Policy
Congressman Dan Goldman (NY-10) joined Congresswoman Julie Johnson (TX-32), Congresswoman Emily Randall (WA-06) and 79 other members of Congress in sending a letter to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Russell Vought urging him to reject the recently introduced proposal requiring applicants to list their ‘biological sex at birth’ on their identification and limit the options for identification to male and female. The members urged Vought to abandon these changes, which can subject transgender people to harassment, discrimination, and potential violence.
Congressman Goldman is committed to defending the rights of all Americans. In June 2024, the Congressman cosponsored a resolution to express support for the designation of June 28, 2024 as ‘Stonewall Day’ to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising that took place on June 28, 1969 as a significant day in history for the fight for LGBTQIA+ equality.
