Congressman Dan Goldman Works to Protect Americans’ Sensitive Personal Information from Elon Musk

Congressman Dan Goldman joined Congresswoman Haley Stevens (MI-11) and Congressman Sean Casten (IL-06) in introducing the ‘Taxpayer Data Protection Act,’ which would prevent unlawful access to Americans’ most sensitive personal information in response to Elon Musk and Republicans’ power grab at the U.S. Treasury.

The legislation would curb corruption and protect privacy by ensuring that only trusted public servants without conflicts of interest and with appropriate security clearances can access the Treasury Department’s most sensitive systems.

Congressman Goldman is committed to combating Elon Musk’s lawless breaches of our government. Earlier this month, the Congressman sent a letter to the Acting Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Matthew Vaeth demanding that the Trump Administration follow all relevant federal data protection laws after it was revealed that Elon Musk and DOGE have exceeded their authority and may have violated numerous federal laws with grave national security consequences.
