Health
Health care is a human right and no person in America should have to choose between high-quality, affordable health care and putting food on the table. Congressman Goldman is working to bring down the cost of prescription drugs and tackle the runaway cost of physical and mental health care by taking on huge pharmaceutical corporations and by fighting to expand access to Medicare, Medicaid, and other government-funded health care options to every American.
Congressman Goldman has introduced:
Michelle Alyssa Go Act to increase the number of federal Medicaid-eligible in-patient psychiatric beds for individuals who are seeking treatment for both mental health and substance use disorders
Strengthening Medicaid for Serious Mental Illness Act to support individuals living with serious mental illnesses (SMI) such as schizophrenia, bipolar illness, and major depressive disorder
Congressman Dan Goldman is a member of the Mental Health Caucus and the Bipartisan Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force.
