The members’ proposed reforms enhance state and local law enforcement's ability to police public safety while ensuring New York maintains its strong criminal justice protections for defendants.

Congressman Dan Goldman joined Congressman John Larson (CT-01) in sending a letter to Acting Social Security Administration (SSA) Commissioner Leland Dudek urging him to halt Trump-Musk's plan to purge Social Security personnel. Earlier this month, Dudek announced plans to consolidate ten SSA regional offices down to four and cut 7,000 workers. Elon Musk promoted their plan on The Joe Rogan Experience, dismissing the Social Security benefits 70 million Americans rely on to make ends meet as “the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time.”
